It was child’s play in the West Village Tuesday afternoon when Aerin Lauder and Julie Janklow hosted a tea party at Sweetiepie to celebrate the new Ralph Lauren children’s store on Bleecker Street. Monet Mazur brought along son Marlon, who won a whoopie cushion during a game of pass the parcel — a toy whose effect he promptly requested his mother to demonstrate. “Anything to make them smile,” said a good-natured Mazur before she sat on it.

The pint-size guests, joined by Tory Burch and Helena Christensen’s sons, pigged out on cookies, cakes and a massive ice cream sundae. One particularly precocious boy even went behind the bar to ask the bartender, “Can you teach me to make anything besides a Shirley Temple?”

Afterward, guests climbed into Ralph Lauren customized pedi-cabs and headed to the designer’s nearby store for a visit with a giant teddy bear.
